The following post is snippet of a longer post on Paid Patreon and Ko-fi users, released on 11th October 2026.
Done in September:
Late August hit somewhat hard. One of the cats that I have with me, Molly, as sadly passed away. She was a black cat in that we had for 13 years since she was kitten. She had been poorly kidney for a some time, and despite an operation to fix the issue, she passed way late August. Her favourite spots was sleeping on window stills, and I was her favourite human. I often found her in my room, or looking for me.
If you’re wondering, the cat that you may see in some of my videos is Edmund, who likes to sleep on my bed. He’s actually also quite vocal about stuff, and I usually cut out his Chats.
Mike’s Holodeck YouTube Channel news: Mass Effect 2 didn’t get touched all, partly as I’ve wanted to make sure I had plan for Star Trek games before I restarted. I also need to get back in the mood.
The Star Trek Online game itself had an new Episode in September. It took almost two hours to record, at least I managed to get the Edit done for two episodes in time. I also started a TOS playthrough for the short arc of that the TOS character gets, this would have been ideal to build a buffer. I managed to get two episodes out, and didn’t really build a buffer.
The New Mike Sharpe Writer YouTube channel is still not “live” yet. I’ve got Three videos on early access, with two more coming soon. While I’ve not recorded them yet, I’ve got at least 3 videos planned.
To spread my MikeSharpeWriter content out more, I’ve chosen to make a Peertube channel at Spectra Video. Peartube is an alternative Video sharing platform, based on some the same ActivityPub system that Mastodon and this blog uses. Yes, you can follow this blog via Mastodon! There may issue with remaining with Spectra video long term, but my choice that relies on a decision that Spectra Video hasn’t made yet.
Moving on to the books: Solen Masters Book 1: Acacia’s Silence has finally seen an update on Patreon. Sadly, the Public release is that when Chapter 20 is coming 26th October 2026. Give that previous progress has slow to a crawl, I’ve decided that Acacia’s Silence will release 2027 or later.
I’ve done some work on Project Watt. I’ve also made the decision that I will wait until I complete the first “arc” before I consider working the plans regarding Early Access and reading it publicly. Project Watt is just a temporary name that I could refer it and have idea what I wanting to about it. I am also planning to put Project Watt in 90 Day early access, and longer delay.
