August was pretty hard for me personally. I had a gotten a infection towards the latter half the month. I effectively was unable to speak and stopped almost all video progress.
Mike’s Holodeck YouTube Channel news: Mass Effect 2 didn’t get touched all, partly as I’ve wanted to make sure I had plan for Star Trek games before I restarted. I also need to get back in the mood.
The two videos I did cover where somewhat reacting to content in game. But really I need plan “quiet” news week content. This type of stuff I can make for Early Access, unlike reacting to a news update post that was posted a few days before, which some my content has been recently.
The New Mike Sharpe Writer YouTube channel is still not “live” yet. I’ve got Three videos on early access, with two more coming soon. While I’ve not recorded them yet, I’ve got at least 3 videos planned.
To spread my MikeSharpeWriter content out more, I’ve chosen to make a Peertube channel at Spectra Video. Peartube is an alternative Video sharing platform, based on some the same ActivityPub system that Mastodon and this blog uses. Yes, you can follow this blog via Mastodon! There may issue with remaining with Spectra video long term, but my choice that relies on a decision that Spectra Video hasn’t made yet.
Anyway, I’ve started by uploading my yearly videos that effectively died on Mike’s Holodeck channel. For a while, I’ll be uploading other certain parts when I can find the video files. As part of an experiment, the Peertube version of the video my go live at least a few days before the Youtube version. YouTube’s Collaborator feature will be used on certain video to help cross pollinate. (Basically, any HoloDeck Video that would be “home” on MikeSharpeWriter, and any Star Trek or Gaming content going the other way.)
Moving on to the books: Solen Masters Book 1: Acacia’s Silence is still on long delay. Sadly, still no news on when Chapter 20 is coming, other than I’m still working one it, it’s just slow. Also I’ve decided that Acacia’s Silence will release 2027 or later.
I’ve done some work on Project Watt. I’ve also made the decision that I will wait until I complete the first “arc” before I consider working the plans regarding Early Access and reading it publicly. Project Watt is just a temporary name that I could refer it and have idea what I wanting to about it. (Watt here refers to the Website Wattpad.)
